Open Your Notifications
Select Notifications in Republic's navigation. The list brings together activity associated with your account, including follows, replies, likes, reposts, mentions, and notices. Open an item to go to its associated post, profile, or account information. A notification is a link to activity or a decision; read the destination when you need the complete post, explanation, or available action.
Find Mentions
Use the Mentions view to focus on activity that mentions your account. A mention uses @ followed by a handle. When you mention someone, select the intended account from the composer suggestions so that similar names do not lead you to the wrong profile. Opening an old mention should still take you to the account after a handle change, with its current handle displayed.
Follow a Factcheck Request
When you request a Factcheck from a post menu, Republic records the request and confirms its result. You receive a notification when a Factcheck is published for the requested post or your request is dismissed. Open the notification to read the associated result. A request being recorded is not a promise that a note will be published, and a Factcheck is separate from a moderation penalty.
Read Account Notices Promptly
Account-security, policy, and moderation notices can require a different action from ordinary social activity. Open the notice and use the linked account or policy page. Account Standing contains restriction and appeal information. Essential Discord messages may provide an additional alert when delivery is allowed, but on-platform notices remain important: a blocked or unavailable Discord message does not mean no decision or policy notice exists.
