Choose the Account and Verification Type

Switch to the account you want verified before opening Verification. Choose Public figure, Organization, or Government according to who or what the account represents. State the subject and your relationship to it. An organization application should describe the organization; an application for an individual should not imply ownership of an organization the person does not represent.

Explain the Representation and Request

Describe what people can expect the account to speak about and the capacity in which you operate it. Explain the identity or public-relevance reason for verification using specific facts. Keep the profile's name, biography, and claims of affiliation consistent with the application. Supporting or discussing an institution is different from being authorized to speak for it.

Add Relevant Public Evidence

Do not provide passwords, Discord tokens, identity-document numbers, or another person's private records. Adding unrelated links makes an application harder to assess rather than stronger.

  1. Choose public links that identify the subject or establish the relationship you claim.
  2. Open each link and check that the relevant information is visible without private credentials.
  3. Explain what each source demonstrates. A mention of the subject is not automatically evidence that you control its account.
  4. Follow the form's evidence limits and submit the completed application.

Read the Status and Decision

Return to Verification to see the application history, status, and any review note. Pending review and In review are not approvals. Approved records the successful outcome; Not approved means the request did not receive verification. Use the explanation associated with your application to identify an evidence or representation issue before making any further request. Verification does not make your posts exempt from the rules.
